Edward J. Moran Lumber Corporation was founded in March of 1980 by Edward J. Moran, Sr. to
service the markets for heavy construction lumber and other lumber products. Ed has been in
the lumber business since 1951 and after several successful partnerships, he decided to start his
own company. His first year was a prosperous one - supplying 55 truckloads of street mat and many
truckloads of shoring lumber for the Buffalo subway system.

In January of 1981, he hired his son Edward "Chip" Moran, Jr. to expand the customer base and develop
new markets and products. In 1983, Ed and Chip co-founded Keystone Wood Treating Corp. After 17 years of
growth and expansion into the flame retardant markets, Keystone was sold to Coastal Treated Products, Inc.
in 2000.
Chip was retained by Coastal for the transition as well as managment of that portion of the company
for another 7 years. In late 2007, Ed decided to retire and Chip returned to Edw. J. Moran, Corp.
Since that time, Edward J. Moran Inc.
has grown and developed into a well diversified supplier of heavy construction lumber, timbers,
crane mats, piling and other forest products. The company serves the construction needs in the Metro Philadelphia and other market areas
such as Central and Western Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware.
